Timetracker 3.0 | Windows Client
Please see "Time Tracking" section for settings specific to the Timetracker 4.0 Windows Client.
When you expand the "Windows Client Settings" of the "Configuration" tab's "Settings" section, you can configure options for Timetracker's destkop client.
This is what you will see when you expand the "Work Client Settings" section:
|Enable activity check on time tracking||
With this option enabled, you can set the amount of time in minutes that passes before the Timetracker desktop client checks for user activity, such as if you are still working on the current work item. You can also set the amount of time in seconds to display the resulting activity check dialog box.
|Enable reminder if user is idle||
With this option enabled, the Timetracker desktop client reminds the user that no work is being tracked and prompts them to start tracking time.
|Pause tracking if PC is inactive||
With this option enabled, the Timetracker client will pause time tracking when the user's system is inactive (if the PC is locked or restarted).
Once active again, a dialog box will open to ask the user what he/she wants to do with the time that was tracked during this inactivity.
(If disabled, time tracking will simply stop instead of pause; if the user is tracking time with the client, but then leaves for a meeting and locks his/her PC, time tracking will automatically stop. No time will be tracked, and the lost time cannot be recovered.)
|Allow adjustment of start time||
With this option enabled, it allows users to adjust their start time on the Timetracker client even if they have already started working on a task but forgot to start the client. With this checkbox enabled, users can "turn back time" by adjusting their start time.
Note: If you select 15 minutes, your user can adjust their start time only up to 15 minutes prior to their actual start time.
