Is the Service Account that is specified during the installation of Timetracker used to write data to the "Remaining Work" and "Completed Work" fields? We want a way to lock down these fields for direct use in Visual Studio or the Webportal, but we still want to allow Timetracker to update them. Is this possible?
The Service Account is not used for updating "Remaining Work" and "Completed Work" fields.
If you want to disable "Completed Work" in the DevOps interface while still allowing modification by Timetracker, you can simply leave everything as it is in your work item definition, but change control by adding the flag ReadOnly (also see attached file with reduced sample to only one field):
<Control FieldName="Microsoft.VSTS.Scheduling.CompletedWork" Type="FieldControl" Label="Completed" LabelPosition="Left" ReadOnly="True" />
For more information on the Service Account and what we use it for in Timetracker, please see "Settings": Service Account Settings for 7pace Timetracker for TFS or "Settings": Service Account Settings for 7pace Timetracker for VSTS
