I am trying to run a report of the SUM of Hours applied to each work item ID. What do you recommend to be able to run an "Hours Worked" report from the data collected by the extension? In other words, how to I get a report that shows, per TFS ID for a project, how many total hours have been applied to it?
Timetracker provides a variety of options to assist you.
You can use the "Times Explorer" export to Excel feature and then group all time tracks by TFS ID in the resulting Excel spreadsheet. For more information, please see "Times Explorer" Page Overview and "Times Explorer": Exporting Time Records in our user documentation.
Timetracker also has a reporting API that provides a dedicated URL that allows you to access and extract pure, updated data from Timetracker into the system of your choice as OData feed (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, SQL, or any third-party system that “talks” the protocol that our API is offering). For more information about using the API and OData feed, see "Settings": API for 7pace Timetracker for TFS or "Settings": API for 7pace Timetracker for VSTS in our user documentation.
You can also group all time tracks by TFS ID per day with our "Budget" export (see screen shot, below). For more information on this, see "Budgets" Page: Exporting Tracked Time Details in our user documentation.
Finally, you can also obtain information about all time tracked to any work item, including children items, on the work item dialog's "Time" tab (see screenshots, below).
