I have purchased licenses on the shopping page at 7pace.com; how can I apply them to my Visual Studio Account?
Unfortunately, you can't.
Licensing for Timetracker for TFS and Timetracker for VSTS works differently, and is even fulfilled by different parties.
Timetracker for TFS is purchased on 7pace.com or via distributors. The license can only be applied to Timetracker installed on your privately-hosted Team Foundation Server. When you purchase, you make a contract directly (or via your reseller) with 7pace. That means that your payment is collected by 7pace, and the invoice is issued by 7pace. The license is created and provided by 7pace.
Timetracker for VSTS is purchased through Microsoft on the Visual Studio Marketplace. The license can only be applied to your Visual Studio account ([myaccount].visualstudio.com). When you purchase, you make a contract with Microsoft. That means that your payment is collected by Microsoft and the invoice is issued by Microsoft. The license is automatically created and applied to your account by Microsoft.
It is not possible to mix the licenses or payment methods at the moment. If you have a special case or need help, please always feel free to create a ticket here or write directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. For enterprise customers, we offer special agreements covering both platforms; please contact sales at 7pace.
PS: Timetracker support is always directly fulfilled by the 7pace help center, regardless of what license you have purchased and what platform you are using.
