Whenever I try to open the Windows Client, it doesn't show up on the screen. I only see the icon in the bottom-right and on the task bar. I've tried various steps to cascade windows, but the window is remaining hidden.
Our apologies for this issue. We have added a bug to our backlog and are planning to fix it in an upcoming release.
We encourage you to subscribe to our release notes from here https://support.7pace.com/hc/en-us/sections/115000080746-Release-History for updates.
Currently, there are a number of workarounds that will help you immediately:
1) In 7pace Timetracker’s 4.20 release, a Global hotkey was added to show and/or hide the Windows Client ([Win]+F12).
2) Use the standard Windows hotkeys to move the 7pace Timetracker window position between displays (Win+Shift+Arrow).
Please open/focus the 7pace Timetracker Window (click on the tray icon and it will be opened "somewhere" on a Windows virtual screen), then hold the Win+Shift buttons and the click arrows button (it depends on the displays quantity) until the 7pace Timetracker window appears on your screen.
3) To make the app window visible, click on the tile with the Shift + Right button of your mouse, choose the “Move” option, then click Ctrl+Home (or click any arrow button), and once you move the mouse, the app window will display and move with it.
4) Another (more technical) workaround:
- Close the client
- Remove the file
%APPDATA%\TimetrackerOnlineClient\PreferencesService (or edit manually)
- Start the client again
This should reset all the local client settings, including the window position. After that, the window should appear in the center of your main screen.
