In the desktop app when a Task is selected it should show the parent Bug or Product Backlog Item's ID and Title.

At our company we often use short titles for our Tasks (e.g. Coding) and the real indicator of the feature or product being worked on it on the parents.

Just a read-only view of the parent would be a great first step.  Grandparent(s) might be nice. 

Further down the road the ability to quickly select a different task in the same parent work item or select an item's child item would be nice.

  Hi Timothy, 

  have you tried using the on hover in the search result list?

  Hmm.  The app looks a little different for me.  Is the app for the on-prem DevOps different than cloud DevOps?  I'm using 7pace Timetracker v5.41.2.56667.
  
  The tool tip for me just shows the Project, not the parent issue.

  sorry for the late response. Yes, you are right - the on-prem version differs from the cloud version, since we have some limitations there. And unfortunately, we don't have it in our near plans to implement any updates. I am sorry that I don't have better news for you at the moment
