    Hi Tomas,

    New client v4 is compatible with the latest Timetracker server side (v4 too). Maybe you are trying to pair with 3.x server-side version?

    Well, I downloaded both the TFS v4 installation zip package, as well as the Windows Client installation file, both links of which were provided in the email regarding the update.  Before installing the Windows Client, I uninstalled the v3 Windows Client.

    When the client software is installed, it runs the installed client.  The client has a series of "slides" which you scroll through until the final slide that directs you to do the pair click on the Monthly webpage's drop-down.  It is clear that the client is v4, as those slides did not appear in v3.

    When I try to pair, NOTHING happens.

    I will venture that I must do some manual editing in Regedit -- a solution to the similar problem I had when installing the v3 client.

    Thanks.

    I want to highlight the SECOND issue in my original post:  I cannot find the client EXE or other executable links, anywhere in Programs* folders.  Where do I find it, so that I can start the client again after I have quit it from the taskbar tray?

    Hi Tomas,

    Executable file isn't located in Programs folders. You can find it in following folder:

    C:\Users\{yourUserName}\AppData\Local\Timetracker\app-{version}

    In your case version should be 4.0.0.16146.

    Regarding pairing issue - yes, it seems to be same issue as you had in v3. We can temporary sort it out same way, by editing registry. But we aren't able to reproduce the issue, so it would be very kind of you to participate in our investigation to make us able to fix it finally.

     I'll create support ticket for you and will contact you soon to solve your problem.

    Kind Regards,

    Roman

    Update:  The registry merge went successfully, and now the PAIR worked.  I can now use the Windows client to start and stop, etc.  Very good.
