We are not able to submit a future weeks timesheet for approval. This means that someone cannot submit a timesheet for approval if they are on leave the following week. Please could this be made possible?

Holidays have to be approved in advance. Therefore a developer specifies when he wants to take holidays (could be one day, a week, ...). This is then checked by the project manager to make sure that, for example, not too many people from a team are absent or that important developments are due during this period.
If everything is ok, the project manager gives his approval and the developer can take a vacation in the desired time period.Because it could be also only one day the approach submitting a full week in the future will not work for us.

@Claudia Klahn I think you are misunderstanding what we are asking for here.
This isn't about getting holiday requests approved it is about getting the time tracking approved. @7pace please consider this developmentI want to give an example, I have annual leave next week so I have entered my time tracking, but I am unable to submit this tracking for approval and our company has a monthly extract, which will happen while I'm away so I have no way of getting the time tracking into our monthly extract

Hi Gill
thank-you for the detailed explanation, this is very helpful!
We have some plans around improving Timesheet at the beginning of next year, however we are still in the process of defining the scope of the work. We'll keep a close eye on this and other threads so we can prioritise accordingly.
Many thanks,
Andrea

Count us in as another company that really needs this feature! When our team members go on PTO for more than a couple days we want them to be able to submit their timesheets for approval before they go so we can cure any incorrect entries before they leave and have accurate data for reporting in their absence.
We thought about having our approvers just close the timesheets but this is not the right answer. It does not give us the opportunity to make the needed corrections, making rework after the employee returns as we have to re-run reports with corrected data.
