Default comment for activity types

We would like to define a default comment for some of our activity types. Based on the chosen activity type during the creation of a new worklog entry the comment could then be auto populated.

We do have activity types which do not require any additional comment, but since the field is mandatory the users do have to enter some dummy-text to the comment to store the worklog.

  thanks for getting in touch. In fact, we frequently receive requests from users who wish to establish customized rules for activity type and comment usage, tailored to their specific needs.

  Based on your feedback, it seems like you're rather looking for a way to set up rules when comments should be mandatory (based on the activity type). Am I understanding that correctly?

  yes, it's exactly that. Based on the activity type I would like to make the comment mandatory or not. As an alternative it would also be fine to set a default comment based on the activity type.
