    Hi Wim!

That's a weird coincidence, I had the exact same request today (just 2 days later) and was referred to your post.

I agree, this would improve our time tracking experience by a bunch :)

    Kind regards,

    Jakob

    Hello Wim and Jakob,

Thank you for getting in touch! Your request appears to be quite reasonable and may be straightforward to implement. However, I'd like to clarify the specifics of how you envision this feature. Currently, the work items in the Timesheets are displayed within their hierarchy. If you're interested in sorting the items alphabetically, should it disregard the hierarchy entirely or sort alphabetically at the highest level? Happy to hear more more details on how it could work best for you.

    Cheers, Nici

    Hi Nici,

I can't speak for Wim, but in our Team we only log times on features (I know, it's weird, I'm not a fan). So we rarely use the timesheet with history.

You bring up a very good point, haven't thought about that. Since there are potentially a number of levels involved those could potentially make more sense to be sorted according to different criteria 😅 Implementing that would surely be a bigger effort, since then there would be a UI element for sorting of each level.

To keep it simple, I'd say do it exactly as you do it currently with the ID: Here everything is sorted by ID, if with the new feature you were to sort by Title, everything should be sorted by title.

But as I said, my issue would be resolved either way, because we only track on feature level and mostly have hierarchy disabled anyway :)

Kind regards and have a nice weekend,

    Jakob
