"Start tracking" button on Work Item Pane in a Query tracks time on wrong work item
Officially AnsweredI have an overview of my work items of interest open in a query. I use the Work Item Pane to see and interact with the details of my currently selected work item. I have the Timetracker app open and always on top in a corner, to always see what's currently tracking even if outside of the browser.
While a recent update fixed the "Time" tab on this Work Item Pane (reloading when changing the selection in the query results), the "Start Tracking" button in the main tab still starts tracking time on the wrong item - the first one that was loaded when the query view opened.

Hi David!
Thank you for your message and my apologies for the issues you are experiencing.
That is strange and we will need additional details to investigate it.
I'll create a support ticket for you.
Could you please provide additional info in:
1) Are you using VSTS or TFS (if so, what are the versions of TFS and Timetracker)?
2) Could you please provide steps to reproduce it and video of the screen with the issue?
Kind regards,
Andarth

Good morning.
We just installed 7Pace for the first time today and I am suffering from this issue, which brought me here.
From my "Assigned to me" query, if I start time from one task modal, it will start tracking time on another task. The only way to track the correct item is if I start it from the "Time" tab by manually selecting that item on the "Today" pane.
Is there any official answer or solution for this?
1) we are using TFS v16.131.28601.4
2) Easy to reproduce, use the following steps: Create a new task called "Test 1" on the Query screen; Create a new task called "Test 2" on the Query screen; Start tracking Test 1 from the Task modal; Check Time tab, on top it will say that Test 2 is being tracked (and not Test 1 as was supposed to).
Thanks.

I have been doing some more tests, trying different things, and apparently the issue is not related to the query per se, but is rather random. I can't find a pattern, sometimes it works properly, others it doesn't.
I am using google Chrome, for what it's worth.
Please find here a link to a video where I replicate the issue: https://er9lt0.s.cld.pt
Steps shown in the video:
0 - I already have tasks "Test 1" and "Task 2" created.
1 - I start tracking task called "Test 1" from the task modal.
2 - Stop tracking the task.
3 - I start tracking task called "Task 2" from the task modal.
4 - Move to the Time tab, and it says that the task being tracked is "Test 1" (which it isn't).

Good morning.
Any news on the status of this bug? I have already provided the video link in my previous post, but I am receiving emails saying that the answer is pending from my side.
After a week of usage, we see the tool has a lot of potential, but this potential bug has already caused some annoying mistakes to our dev team.
Waiting on further feedback.
Thank you.
