I am trying to configure and install TimeTracker. When I get to the Email Notification part, I am using the same settings that my TFS instance is using (which works) for notification emails. SMTP server name, port 25.
Our SMTP server is open and doesnt require authentication - however, if I choose Anonymous I get an error:
The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
I get the same error if I try to use a service account. The only difference I can see between the TFS email set up and TimeTracker email setup, is that TFS has an option called "Not Required" under the Authentication area. Any idea on why I cant get this to connect? If the server is open for connection, it should work with anonymous, correct?
