    Hello Maxim - I realize that you said you'd update here on 31555 but I'm hoping this little "ping" might get us all an update. In my case my team is using the Windows client app.

    I have the exact same situation as Lars. 

    Use case, from the app

    - find work item ID

    - log block of time

    - set category

    (optionally / ideally set date - for convenience rather than having to go back to the portal to add historical entry)

    This feature is in our backlog already and might be implemented in the future. But unfortunately, I should admit that it is not in our roadmap right now, so this is not likely to be implemented soon.
