    Hi Kristoffer!

    Thanks for your feedback.
Could you please provide more info on your use case?
    >I would like to set "billable" differently, depending on whether the connected work item is fixed price or hourly billed
How are you differing your Work Items (whether it should be fixed or billed) - is it some custom field in your Work Item template?
How do you see, from a users perspective, this option to select billable rules?
How it should change the behavior of Billable functionality?

    Regards,
    Maxim

    Hi,

Currently we have a simple custom boolean fields on our work items called "Billable", and then we have to go through all times and set them to billable after a week ends for example.

If instead, the value of the Billable field on the work item could serve as the default for time registered, it would be much faster and less error prone for us. Billable on the time itself should still be editable after it's registered. So the work item field serves mainly as a default.

But now when I think about it some more, we also have time categories that we never charge. So it would be nice if a time category could be locked in terms of billing. Or maybe that's already supported?

    Hi Kristoffer!

Thanks for these details. It sounds a little bit complex and we will need to invent how to make it more flexible, so it will be helpful for everyone. I've created an item in our backlog (internal ID 31553) and later will discuss it with our team to find possible solutions and set priorities.
We are sorting backlog items based on user votes and feature complexity.
We will post updates here when we will have some info on it.
    Thanks again for your feedback

    Regards,
    Maxim
