    Hi everyone,

Since this feature request is among the most popular requests in our community and we do see all the benefits our users could have from this, we are moving into discovery phase with this feature.

For this reason we would love to get your input. Set up a session with us to let us know what is important to you or leave a comment.

    • What problem do you hope to get resolved with a calendar integration?
    • Which calendars do you want to integrate (Outlook, Google Calendar, etc.)?
    • How would the ideal workflow look for you? How do you want to convert calendar events into worklogs?
    • Where would you want to see your calendar events in 7pace Timetracker?

Looking forward to your feedback! Thanks.

We would like this functionality as well! The idea behind this is that we would have a scheduled meeting for a particular time and it would be great if it is possible to automatically integrate that meeting as a time tracked into the particular place for that. We would like to be able to track all the different kinds of activities and the meeting ones are one of the top things that we do on a regular basis. Teams also has a sync between our Outlook calendar so it could potentially get pulled from there.  A lot of the timetrackers that are out there do have this ability and the last one that we have used also did so we are accustomed to using it.

I would be very happy to this kind of feature fast too. As already stated, we have non-coding related tasks that are mainly managed over calenders because they are often solved in workshops / meetings for which we surely want to track the time also. It would be very handy too have a 7pace Outlook Add-in that enables one to directly track time from meetings in my outlook calendar.

    Hi!

I've merged here similar request "Integrate with Outlook Calendar":

    >We have a need to track non-code related activities also, such as meetings. It would be nice if you could integrate with outlook calendar also to pull in time spent in meetings automatically.

    Hi All,

Our teams also have to double-key-in their time off in Outlook and the Timesheet, interfacing would be highly appreciated.

    Kind regards

Voted.  This would be great to have as Jira already has this.

@andrea - can you share with us high level roadmap of when this is planned for?

    Thanks.

    Hi Andrea,

It should be linked to a worked item.

We should be able to do the following:

    1. Forward meeting blocks from outlook to a specific ticket and it would automatically log that block of time and use the name of the meeting as the comment.

    2. We should be able to choose the activity type and edit comment after we forward & then save.

    Thanks.

Any news on this feature request? I share this demand and would be highly interested in such a feature... Ideally it should come as a Outlook 365 integration as most our people tend to use the browser based version of Outlook nowadays.

    Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your message! Quite a few customers have asked about this feature and it is definitely high on our list now. We don't have an ETA yet, however we are doing some preliminary research on this. Once we know more we will update you on this thread, so watch this space!

    Kind Regards,

    Andrea

    Hi Sebastian

I am afraid not, or not yet. This is definitely on our radar as we know how valuable this feature would be, however we are working on a few projects right now which have taken priority over this. I will keep you posted should we make some significant progress with this.

    Hi guys,

without revealing too much, the reason why we are slightly hesitant to share an ETA/roadmap for this feature is that it is being discussed as part of a wider conversation regarding our move into the GitHub space. That being said, please rest assured - we do know that this would be very beneficial to our DevOps customers, and as soon as we have a commitment internally I'll share an update.

On a more general note - although we do allow for exceptions, in most cases we expect people to log their time against DevOps work items. If you were able to import events from Outlook, would you prefer those to be linked to a work item, would you like them to be separate ('comment only') worklogs, or how would you like to see this implemented?

    Hi,

As somebody that has recently migrated from TimeCamp to 7pace, certainly an integration I am missing to be honest. In the world of TimeCamp this worked by essentially importing an ICS link/feed into the timesheet, from where the user can delete the time log or move it to the 'real' Work Item and Activity Type. Being ICS well means it worked for any calendar that supports such things, not just Outlook/Microsoft 365.

    Hi Mark,

thank you for your suggestion. Ideally we would want to build a more seamless experience however you have a good point that ICS is a very well known/accepted standard for 'calendar' type of events. One to think about, maybe we could use this as a fall back solution for when a user wants to integrate with other platforms that we don't yet support.

    Many thanks,

We just integrated 7pace for our entire IT staff of 100+. This would be a huge win from a feature perspective to make adoption to 7pace easier.

    Hello,

We currently don't have any specific dates planned for the implementation of this feature. Our focus for this quarter and beyond is on performance improvements. However, we acknowledge that this feature is highly requested by our users, and we are actively collecting feedback to ensure its proper implementation in the future. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with a timeline at this moment. Rest assured, if we decide to proceed with this feature, we will update this thread accordingly.

    Best regards, Nici

    Hi everyone,

I see that this feature has quite some votes, but unfortunately not yet in our plans.

We will re-evaluate it soon (internal id 32949) and I will post update here and in roadmap if we put it into our plans for the next year.
