I am noticing that my time tracking is not accurate. I am finding that when I am working on a UserStory or Task I will come back and find that my time tracking says disconnected. I reviewed a Similar post "7Pace issues with random disconnecting" which suggested that the time tracking continues on the back end and I need to interact with the page. However, when I interact with the page the button never refreshed, just stays at disconnected and when I refresh the page, it states to start tracking.
I am using 7Pace TimeTracker version 5.0.1.34507 in a Azure Devops environment. (not server)

Let me repeat what I understood: you start tracking on some work item and in a while the button goes into "Disconnected" state, and not goes back to tracking state when you roll over it. But after refresh it shows "Start tracking" like tracking is not running?
If I repeated the case right: could you please open Monthly page when you see this case again (button shows Start Tracking) and check what top panel shows there? Is it running or is it also stopped?
