Monthly View - Filter By Person (Allow selecting someone other than yourself)

The Monthly view is very effective of giving an overall view of time entered on a daily basis- especially with the activity types indicated for each day. Pretty much everyone is used to looking at a calendar and has years of experience working with a calendar layout and can quickly ascertain data presented in this familiar view.

Unfortunately, the Monthly view is more designed for data entry than assessing time for a specific employee.

It would be helpful to be able to view the Monthly page for a selected employee other than myself. Other filters would be useful too, but a person filter would be the most helpful.

 

Option #2: As an alternative, a calendar view option for the Times Explorer would be a nice feature...

    Hi Matthew!

    We discussed this within our team and we were wondering if you would want to see just a list of work items or the exact detailed worklogs (tracks) view on a monthly calendar-type interface?

    Also, on the Approval page, it currently displays a list of users per week with a work items list, although this is perhaps  more of a Timesheet type of UI, instead of a monthly view. Is this sufficient for your requirement or do you still prefer more of a Monthly view?

    I have attached a couple of mockups of what I had in mind. I suppose we can get similar data from the Times Explorer, it just isn't laid out as clean as this:

    Though your request is pretty interesting, not sure that it is in our roadmap for the near future.
    I've created an item in our backlog (internal id 33420), we will revise it later with our PO.
