I have many people working in different iterations. I would like to be able to filter by iteration on teams in azure devops:
So in the Timetracker reports, you just select all the time registers by people in the given time.
The issue is that that a team may help another team and they have two different area path and iteration path. And then I can only filter on team member. And with more than 50 people in the system. That is very complicated. Specially when you run scaled agile with many team in the same project to insure collaboration.

Hi Andreas
thank you for your suggestion!
Based on your description, and leaving out all the practicalities of building this for a minute - we are envisaging this as an additional filter on the Time Explorer page. Such filter would allow you to display all the worklogs recorded by a certain Team, and you could further narrow down this list using the Iteration filter we already have. Is this what you had in mind as well?
Kind Regards,
Andrea

Yes, it could be nice to have a new filter called Team in the Time explorer.
It would also be nice to have the filter on Reports and Approval.
- When looking into report, you would like to select your team.
- When looking into approval, you would like to approve time for your team.
I would also rename the Filter Team Project to Projec in the time explorert
Please remember to make it a multi select.
These would be nice have when you have multiple teams working with different iterations and the team is helping each orther. ;-)
Feel free to write to me if you need more feedback.

Hi Andreas
thank-you for all the suggestions!
When we designed Timesheet we thought of it as the place where each individual person can log their time, as opposed to another 'reporting' type of page. This is why on Timesheet you can only see your own logs. The idea of adding a Team filter to other areas of the application is a very valid one though, so we'll keep a close eye on this thread.
Thank you again and have a great weekend!

Below a new request for adding the ability to filter by Team on the Reporting page

There is a need for both filter by team (as in team members) and team (as in area paths owned by the team).
I want to elaborate on the need for team (as in area paths owned by the team). This is similar to the @Team Areas macro for querying in Azure DevOps. When you choose area path = @Team Areas (team name), the query will return work items with area paths as defined in the team's configuration. Our company has Azure DevOps area paths set up so that all the teams work within 1 team project (see simplified example below). We currently have 4 main portfolios. Each portfolio may be broken down into ART's (agile release trains). Each release train may be broken down into teams. Each team may have sub-areas. In order for the Portfolio Manager to get all the relevant work items, they will need to select the area path for the portfolio and all child areas. We have more than 600+ areas and growing. For any one portfolio, we may need to select 100+ areas.
In this scenario, the team members for Portfolio 1 include people who manage/own the portfolio, which in our case are the Portfolio Director and Program Manager. It does not include the developers or testers who contribute to the work for this Portfolio. Therefore, filter by team (as in team members) will not give us the report that we need.
