I noticed that time entries for work items that were assigned to closed budgets were still reported through the API (2.1). That association from the work item (or its parent) to the budget was done when it was still open. So, time tracked against those work items, after the budget was already closed, still inherited the closed budget.
But my assumption is that no time should be added anymore to budgets after they had been closed. So, any time tracked against work items assigned to closed budgets should not be able to inherit the closed budget anymore.
It's also possible that just an issue in the API, where is assigns still closed budgets to those work items. But time entries assigned to work items linked to a budget after it was closed should show "no budget" in the budget column.
Or am I misunderstanding something?

Hello Stephan,
Thank you for reaching out to us and my apologies for the delayed reply.
The behavior you described is working as expected in the current implementation. However, your remark also seems logical. So, I could suggest you log a feature request in the 7pace community.
Here, other Timetracker users can "vote" for your suggestion, and, based on feedback, our development team may incorporate your suggestion into future releases.
Kind regards,
George
