Request to set up due date for work items and to be notified by email
Gathering FeedbackI am trying to add a due date notification to work Items in Azure Dev Ops through your extension. It was mentioned by one of the forums (https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/729722/due-date-notification.html) that it is possible to do so to set up however I have no idea how to configure it in such a way as to notify me when the due date would be in effect.
My current situation is simply that I need to set up a due date annually for each work item which needs to notify me via email when the date becomes due.

Hi Brendan,
As mentioned via our ticket, we discussed this among our technical team and product owners and this is not functionality that Timetracker currently has. We're actually somewhat surprised that this doesn't exist within DevOps itself already! But we find the concept very interesting and something that we'd like to start gathering feedback and input on this here among our Timetracker users, gage interest, etc.
Thanks again for reaching out.

Hi there,
this feature sits right in between the Azure Devops world and ours, though our main focus is really to provide time-tracking capabilities on top of the standard workflow management tools built into AzureDevOps. If you scroll back to the top of this thread and click the link Brendan posted, you will see that quite a few DevOps customers have requested this on the Microsoft Developer Community platform. With that in mind, at the moment we feel slightly hesitant to proceed with this feature, though if this request gets enough traction from our customers we might well change our mind. For now we'll keep monitoring this and similar requests and we will let you know whenever we have an update.
Regards,
Andrea
