To put it very simply, we would want to first select a client and then an activity type. We would like this functionality to be available in any project, regardless of tags etc.
To demonstrate how our current solution works:
In this scenario, the client is pre-selected based on the environment we are working in – however we are still able to change it as we please.
Underneath it, we have the activity type options which are pre-populated on the admin portal on a per-client level.
This is flexible enough to allow for us to conveniently track our time across all projects in a single location and removes the need to do anything “fancy.”
