Epics By Person Report - Missing Work Items If Hours Are Logged Only Against Top-Level Item
Gathering Feedback
By default, the out-of-the-box Epics by Person report does not display the work item even though hours have been logged against it in the following scenarios: Currently, we are in the middle of our beta and users are asking why these items are not displayed when they know hours are logged against then. They are concerned over the accuracy of the reports. In researching the issue, I discovered that if I remove the "and HasChildren eq true" from the filter portion of the OData Query, then the work items will display. However, since reports are not shareable, making sure that everyone has this changed can be challenging. My request is to have the out-of-the-box Epics By Person report EXCLUDE the filter clause: "and HasChildren eq true" as this widget will be used the most by users in our company. Making this change will alleviate any concerns over the accuracy of this report, as well as reduce the number of support questions we might receive. |

Hi Judy!
This is certainly a valid request, however I'm wary of changing the default behavior of that report as it has been working this way since its inception and our customers are familiar with it as it is. I'm not opposed to changing default behaviors though, so let's try to gather some feedback from other customers as well and see if an update to the behavior would be welcomed.
