As our product continues to grow, it attracts a diverse range of users and organization. We understand that each organization operates in its unique way. Consequently, it's clear that different teams may adopt distinct approaches to time tracking in their workflows. For startups, flexibility is paramount, while larger organizations may prioritize maintaining uniform workflows across their teams.
To address these varying needs, we are exploring the possibility of allowing companies to customize their own time tracking rules within their teams. One example for that would be the frequently requested feature to prevent time trackin on certain work item types. With customizable timetracking rules this could be easily configured by managers when necessary.
Other possible configuration could be:
Defining different activity types for specific teams or even different work items
Rules for default values of billable and non-billable
Rules for when comments are required
Different rules for different projects
