Exactly the same calculation of the Completed Work and Remaining Work fields

We have an example where the completed time is not the sum of the time spent on the work item - but we have not manually adjusted the times. At the end we have done a total of 8 hours work but completed hours has only gone to 7.6. I can see how we will get rounding errors

1) However it does not seem to answer why I do not seem to have matching numbers of Completed and Remaining work updates

2) From a point of view of managing to match items up it would seem more sensible to make them round in the same way so the figures match. I have other examples where the rounding causes a significant difference – a 40 hour piece of work that is over 3 hours difference between the two when only half way through – approx. 16 hours of work done.

  We're planning to improve the way Completed Work and Remaining Work fields are calculated in one of the upcoming sprints.

  Hi Peter, we just released update with changed precision of computing Completed Work/Remaining Work fields: now we store 2 decimals, not only 1. It will reduce cumulative error during time tracking.
