When I click on the date filter on the Times Explorer page, the calendar defaults to October 2023. It doesn't let me manually type in a date so I need to click the arrow buttons on the calendar until I have arrived at the correct month and year.
If we could have the option to set this value to @Today or something like that, that would be a Vast improvement.

I have noticed that if I save the layout without a date in the date field, browse to a different layout and return, the date filter begins with the current month/year.
It seems that the condition that causes the November 2023 month to populate is when the layout is loaded with a date already saved into the date parameter.
I don't know if this will help with development, but I thought I would share my observations.
