    Hi again :-) ,

I am curious to understand your use case on this one better. Maybe you can explain this a little more:

    1. Approximately how many different activity types do you use in your company?
    2. How does you company use the activity settings at the moment? Is it mandatory to set an activity type? Are you using a default activity type? (A little tip: If your company does not require an activity type, you can choose a "Favorite" type in you own "Activity Type" settings)

    Thank you! Nici

    Hi Nicole,

We just start using it to be able to track how much time is taken on Research and Development project where we can get credits from the government and it is required to track how much time and resources are assigned to each project.  So currently the activity type are: Away from work, bug fix, certification, customer issues, feature development, infrastructure, internal operations, professional development, regression.  Our integration of 7pace is linked to azure devops and it is required to assign an activity type.  So when depending if the a bug was created while the feature is in development or come back later, we will assign the activity type Feature development or bug fix.  But it is unlikely that a single workitem change to another activity type for a single user.  Maybe a workitem may be assigned to customer issue for a support person, then to a bug fix for a developper and for regression by a tester, but for a single individual, it is generally always the same.  So when I start a new time track for a workitem that I previously entered, it will be convenient to automatically select the previous activity type that I used for that workitem.  It is done when we click on the play button on the history in the desktop app, but not when we just click add and manually type the workitem.

    Thank you :)

    Hi Étienne,

thanks so much for explaining your use case. This definitely makes sense and is documented in our backlog. We will inform you, once we have any updates on this.

    Have a great day! Nici
