Feature Request to match Activity Type to Work Item Activity Type

My system default Activity Type is Development. If I add time to a work item with activity type = Development then I can simply add the time.

If I add time to a work item with activity = Documentation I have to change the activity type for time to Documentation. It would be easier to default to the activity of the work item.

    It would really help us for Time Tracker to support mapping Azure DevOps values and use them as a default when they are present on the Work Item.

    This is really nice feature, but we will get back to evaluation of it after we release Rules feature next year.

    In the rule menu (see screenshot), 7pace fields are not available. I would like there to be a way to have these 7pace fields available in picklist, to be able to set-up rules when time spent is filled in a 7pace field.


    By default ADO Boards, there is a default "Activity" field available. This field is used to :

    If we want to use this 2 ADO features above(capacity set-up, capacity chart), we must use the default ADO activity field, rather than the 7Pace "activity type". 

    So I wanted create a rule to link the default ADO "Activity" field and the 7Pace "Activity type", to be sure to have the activity data only in one field rater than in 2 fields.

    We've created an item (32966) in our backlog so we could revise it after the release of Rules. and let's keep this thread for the discussion.

    Hi Jason, 

    thanks for reaching out! This request does come up every now and then, so we are definitely aware of the need for this feature. Unfortunately, I have to admit that currently it is still not in our plans for the near future. I am sorry that I don't have better news for you, but we will keep this thread updated if this changes.

    I'm not sure how the two links shared by Maxim relate to this particular request.

    Rather use https://support.7pace.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115019267123-Request-for-Activity-Types-to-match-default-TFS-Task-and-be-required to vote for a feature to match Timetracker's work log Activity Type to ADO Activity field value if matched.
