Restrict work item types for time tracking

Although in Azure DevOps you can hide the Time tab and Work group, and restrict completed and remaining work fields, you can add any type of work item to the client application timer.  I'd like to have the capability for whitelisting certain work item types for the timer.  For instance tasks and bugs, but not user stories or features.

  Maxim, the post you linked is about not adding time to closed tasks, this request is the ability to restrict by work item type, not status.

  I believe the restriction of what work item types to add time to should be an option that people can select, for example in my org we only want User Story and Task, but not the ability to track time to anything else.
