Feature Request for ability to turn off tracking on some work items (such as those in "closed" state)

It's very important for us to not track any time on a closed work item. It would be great if it was possible to add an option to disable some work items in specific states, so that team members can't track time to them.

  This would be useful, but we would still want it to be possible to add time to that item in the same week it was closed in case someone hadn't added time at the point it was closed

  Hi all,

  We are aware that this feature with customizing states to add time or to search has high prio. We are going to implement it in one of upcoming releases, we will update you soon with plans when it will be released.

  It would be great if we could also indicate what work item types that time can be logged against - we don't want time captured against an Epic even though it is active for instance

  Our main problem with this is that especially the search is cluttered with closed items by now:
