Are you looking to switch from monday.com's native time tracking column to 7pace Timetracker without losing any data? We got a solution!
This feature is currently in beta and available upon request. To gain access, please contact us at 7pace@support.com. Note that you may encounter minor inconsistencies or visual glitches while using the beta version.
To begin the import process, navigate to the Times Explorer view in All Times. On the top menu, you'll find the import button. Click on it to start.
First, select the boards from which you want to import data into 7pace. Once selected, you'll see an overview of the available data from these boards and their members. This allows you to review and manage the data effectively. You can easily select or deselect worklogs from specific team members as needed.
When you're ready, click 'Start Import' to begin the process.
Once completed, imported worklogs will include comments indicating their imported status (will be marked as 'Imported from monday.com' and can be easily found using the search). Any necessary adjustments to the imported worklogs can be easily performed with using the bulk editing function.
Mandatory custom fields
If you have mandatory custom fields, you will be asked to set these values before importing. Alternatively, the they can temporarily be disabled in the app settings.
Authorization issues
You might encounter a message indicating that specific members cannot have their worklogs imported. This occurs when a user has not yet authorized 7pace Timetracker. To ensure the worklogs for that user are included, please advise the user to navigate to 7pace Timetracker in their monday.com account and perform the authorization. For more information, click here.
Limitations
- Permission and availability:This feature is accessible only to monday.com administrators with Pro or higher plans.
- monday.com time tracking column only: Importing worklogs currently only works for time tracked using the native monday.com time tracking column.
- No timeframe selection: The import process will import all existing monday.com worklogs. There is currently now way to select for specific timeframes
- Board Limit: Only five boards can be selected at once for import.
- No Duplicate Detection: The import process will include all data each time, so avoid duplicates by managing your worklogs carefully.
